Sustainability

Environmental sustainability is a hot topic – and moving forward, one that we hope to tackle as a studio. Working in Harrogate, our hands are pretty much tied to the methods and technologies available – it is a price driven, cut-throat industry and stating your green credentials is not an easy task. However, we take pride that we're trying our hardest to minimise our impact on the environment. We have advanced personal green habits and we have he technological infrastructure to back this up.

Allan lives locally so is able to walk to the building, not causing congestion and using a massive truck to get there. He has advanced personal green practices and he sits on the board of Longlands Common.

The lighting in Creao is solar powered - it charges in the day from the roof top solar panels and has a sump to store for night time usage.

This website is hosted on the greenest sever that Andrew Backhouse Design could find. For every calendar month that the site is up here, four trees will be planted as a way of saying thanks to us. These tree planting schemes are global, but based in areas that need it the most.
